Accumen vs ZoomInfo
Accumen and ZoomInfo both help sales teams find the right people to contact, but they are built for very different buyers. This page is written by Accumen, so we are a competitor and you should read it that way. Everything about ZoomInfo below is taken from ZoomInfo's own public website, checked on 6 October 2026. Their product and figures change, so check their site for what is current.
The short version
- ZoomInfo describes itself as an AI platform for go-to-market teams, built on a very large B2B database, with modules for sales, marketing, talent and operations, buying signals, conversation intelligence and an AI sales agent.
- Accumen is much smaller and narrower: on-demand research that names the decision-maker at each company you choose, proves the email address and drafts the sequence from what the company has recently done. It keeps no stored contact database.
- If you are a larger team that wants one platform across sales and marketing, ZoomInfo is built for that. If you are a founder, a small team, an agency or a professional-services firm that writes to a defined set of companies, Accumen is built for that.
Side by side
- Data: ZoomInfo describes 500M+ contacts and 100M+ companies. It says its data comes from public web sources and company websites, regulatory filings, job postings and a contributory network of business professionals, with 300+ human researchers. Accumen keeps no stored contact lists; it researches each company when you search.
- Signals: ZoomInfo describes buyer intent signals, website visitor tracking and workflows triggered by buying signals. Accumen researches recent events at each company you search and builds the sequence on them.
- Scope: ZoomInfo describes modules for sales, marketing, talent and operations, conversation intelligence and an AI sales agent called Copilot. Accumen covers finding the decision-maker, proving the address and drafting the sequence.
- Email proof: Accumen labels each address verified, inferred or not found, and exports only verified addresses as verified. Ask any vendor how it labels an address it could not prove.
- Sending: Accumen does not send; you send from your own mailbox. ZoomInfo describes integrations with 120+ sales engagement, marketing automation and data warehouse tools, and with Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Security and compliance: ZoomInfo lists ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type II and TRUSTe certifications. Accumen does not claim these. Check each vendor's own documents against your requirements.
- Memory: Accumen's Vault remembers who you have already contacted.
Prices
ZoomInfo's pricing page on 6 October 2026 listed plan names, such as ZoomInfo Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise for sales, and Marketing Demand, ABM Lite and ABM Enterprise for marketing. It did not show prices, and offered a free trial and a demo. To get a price you contact them.
Accumen's published plans on 6 October 2026 were Free (25 verified contacts a month), Starter ($50 a month, 150 verified contacts), Solo ($79 a month, 250 verified contacts), Team ($199 a month, 750 verified contacts), Enterprise ($1,499 a month, 3,000 verified contacts).
Accumen publishes its prices and does not require a call. That makes it easy to start, but it is a much smaller product, and the two are not like-for-like.
Where ZoomInfo is the better choice
- You are a larger organisation that wants one platform across sales, marketing and operations.
- You need a very large database to search by role, company and attribute.
- You want conversation intelligence, intent data and website visitor identification in the same system.
- Your buyer needs the certifications and the integrations ZoomInfo lists, and has a budget and process for an enterprise contract.
Where Accumen is the better choice
- You write to a defined set of companies, in the hundreds, and every message must be right.
- You want each contact researched and checked when you ask, with a label for how far it was checked.
- You want published prices you can start on without a sales call.
- You are a founder, a small team, an agency or a professional-services firm that does not need an enterprise platform.
Can you use both?
Yes, though most small teams will not need to. A larger team can use an enterprise database for broad coverage and an on-demand tool to research and prove the people it decides to write to. Whatever you use, check addresses before you send and watch your bounce rate.
How to decide
- Decide whether you need a platform across several teams or a tool for outbound.
- Try both on the same ten companies and compare: was the person right, was the address proven, and was there a reason to write?
- Compare the cost per contact you would actually send to, and the length of the commitment.
- Check each vendor's own security and compliance documents against your requirements.
