Accumen vs Clearbit
Accumen and Clearbit are often searched together, but they do different jobs. Clearbit enriches records you already have. Accumen finds the person to contact at a company you have not yet written to. This page is written by Accumen, so we are a competitor and you should read it that way. Everything about Clearbit and HubSpot below is taken from their own public websites, checked on 6 October 2026. Their products change, so check their sites for what is current.
First, what Clearbit is now
Clearbit's own website says "Clearbit has joined HubSpot", and describes the product as B2B data enrichment. HubSpot's current help pages describe a feature called data enrichment that is included in its paid plans and that, per the page, does not consume HubSpot Credits. That page does not mention Clearbit by name.
Some third-party sites report that Clearbit was rebranded inside HubSpot and that several of its free tools were retired. We have not verified those reports with HubSpot. If you are looking at Clearbit, ask HubSpot whether, and on what terms, you can use it, including whether you need a HubSpot subscription.
The short version
- Clearbit describes enrichment: it fills in missing details on a lead, contact or company you already have, such as firmographics, roles and industry codes, and it describes IP intelligence for website visitors, lead scoring and routing, and shorter forms.
- Accumen is prospecting: you describe who you want to reach, and it researches each company, names the person who decides, proves the email address and drafts the sequence from what the company has recently done. It keeps no stored contact database.
- If you have records and want them complete, enrichment is the job. If you do not yet have the right person at the right companies, finding them is the job.
Side by side
- Starting point: enrichment starts from an email address or a domain you already hold. Accumen starts from your ideal customer.
- What you get: Clearbit describes company and contact attributes, including industry classification (NAICS, GICS and SIC), corporate hierarchy and normalised role and seniority. Accumen gives a named decision-maker, a proven address, the recent event that gives you a reason to write, and a drafted sequence.
- Website visitors: Clearbit describes turning anonymous website traffic into intent signals using IP intelligence. Accumen does not identify website visitors.
- Where it lives: Clearbit now sits inside HubSpot. Accumen works on its own and sends contacts to Slack, Zapier, Google Sheets and other tools.
- Email proof: Accumen labels each address verified, inferred or not found, and exports only verified addresses as verified.
- Memory: Accumen's Vault remembers who you have already contacted.
Prices
Neither Clearbit's homepage nor HubSpot's enrichment help page stated a price when we read them on 6 October 2026. HubSpot's page said enrichment is included in its paid plans. Check HubSpot for the terms that apply to you.
Accumen's published plans on 6 October 2026 were Free (25 verified contacts a month), Starter ($50 a month, 150 verified contacts), Solo ($79 a month, 250 verified contacts), Team ($199 a month, 750 verified contacts), Enterprise ($1,499 a month, 3,000 verified contacts).
They are not like-for-like: one completes records you hold, and the other finds new contacts.
Where Clearbit (through HubSpot) is the better choice
- You already run your sales and marketing in HubSpot and want records completed automatically.
- You want to enrich new form fills and shorten forms.
- You want to see which companies visit your website.
- You need industry codes and corporate hierarchy on accounts you already hold.
Where Accumen is the better choice
- You need to find the right person at companies you have not yet contacted.
- You want each contact researched and checked when you ask, with a label for how far it was checked.
- You want a recent, real reason to write to each company, and a drafted sequence built on it.
- You do not run your outreach inside HubSpot, or you are a founder, small team, agency or professional-services firm that wants fewer, better contacts.
Can you use both?
Yes. Many teams enrich the records in their CRM and use a separate tool to find new contacts. Accumen can feed the people it proves into the tools you already use, and your CRM can enrich them afterwards. Whatever you use, check addresses before you send.
How to decide
- Decide whether your problem is incomplete records or missing contacts.
- If it is missing contacts, try Accumen on ten companies and check: was the person right, was the address proven, was there a reason to write?
- If it is incomplete records, ask HubSpot what enrichment covers on your plan.
- Compare what each costs for the records you would actually use.
